By chance, Ji Yunchu runs into Lu Chengye, the man she once had a crush on, in an elevator. Their eyes meet, and she can’t help remembering that summer night after the college entrance exams, when she nervously handed him a love letter. Lu Chengye, who had always seemed aloof, holds his jacket in both hands and looks down at the envelope in hers. His expression doesn’t change. He smiles faintly and says in his usual steady voice, “Ji Yunchu, we’re not right for each other.”
She thought they would never meet again. Four years have passed, and their lives seem to have moved on along separate paths. Forced to get close to Lu Chengye after someone threatens her, Ji Yunchu doesn’t think he could possibly have feelings for her. Until one night, he grabs her, though she already has a boyfriend, and begs, “Break up with him and be with me, okay?”
