Jiang Xiu has been interested in other people’s romances since she was little, never giving her own feelings much thought. Her aunt went behind her parents’ backs and set her up on a date, saying the man was a nice, mild-mannered sort. From her aunt’s description, Jiang Xiu’s first impression was that he sounded like a dog. So she decided to meet this mild-mannered man. Over dinner, Gu Jin told her to her face, “I’m not interested in you.” Jiang Xiu didn’t mind his awful attitude. She finished the undercooked beef on her pristine white plate and replied, “Oh.” She wasn’t interested in him either. Gu Jin was the one she went on the blind date with, but in the end she married his older brother, Gu Yunzheng. Jiang Xiu and Gu Yunzheng had met long ago in their dreams, though no one else knew who they were there.
