Where the Wind Dies, the Old Ruins Remain

Growing up, Liu Zhaodi was treated as a burden by her own family. She struggled through beatings and abandonment. Zhaodi: the one her family had no room for. Mistreated and cast aside, she drifted from place to place. A kind teacher and a loyal friend became the few lights in her darkness. Her mother set off to build a happy new life, while Zhaodi slowly came to understand that some family bonds are simply beyond reach. Yet people spend their whole lives haunted by what they could not have when they were young. Her past was full of scars, but she refused to give up. With no one to shelter her, she would grow on her own, fighting to flourish in the dust.
