I Am King in the Dark Side of the World

Around seventeen thousand two hundred years ago, though the exact date is no longer known, the first Awakened appeared: Romulus. He was the first ambitious man in the West whose existence is recorded in history, and was known as the Father of Rome. After him, more and more humans came under the gaze of the gods, giving rise to the renowned kings of history: Alexander the Great, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Napoleon I… Thus began an era known as the Essence Era. After the Twilight of the Gods came their dawn. The dead gods were resurrected one after another, issuing divine decrees, bestowing holy water, and establishing rites of blessing. Every last one of these things was done in accordance with the will of one being! Let us praise the Sovereign of All Things!
