Hope City, the world's new hope. This sprawling metropolis, named for hope, claims to be the only free place in the world to have broken the shackles of the gods. Opportunity, equality, dreams. Its slogans shine like neon, drawing moths from across the world. But only those who truly live in Hope City know that it is both heaven and hell. My name is Alan. I'm a necromancer, and I live in the sewers of Hope City. Aside from my student loans, which grow larger every day I wake up, all I have is a Book of the Dead that claims to have come from a legendary necromancer.
