My Journey to Find the World's Treasures

Wei Yuan was originally just a job seeker sending out his resume everywhere, until a strange phone call brought him to a private museum displaying old maps, colonial ordnance and lost cultural relics. The woman on the other end of the phone is Li Wen, a French-Chinese who belongs to a multinational organization called the "Black Tide Foundation." On the surface, this organization is engaged in the protection of cultural heritage, but secretly it has various files, colonial plunder lists, shipwreck coordinates and private armed forces, specializing in searching for treasures buried by war, colonization and greed around the world. An old photo from 1941 involved Wei Yuan in a mystery that spanned eighty years: an Italian army column mysteriously disappeared in Ethiopia, carrying the plundered royal crown, Aksumite artifacts and a large amount of gold. In order to find this missing army column, Wei Yuan followed Li Wen on the journey. From the volcanic deserts of Ethiopia to the ancient underground trails of Solomon's gold mines, from the German Iron Cross in the North African desert to the sunken Black Sails in the Caribbean, from the plundered art in the Paris catacombs to the final archives of the Berlin bunker, a treasure map from all over the world that has been deliberately broken up gradually emerges. However, they soon discovered that the real danger was never the desert, the ruins, and the muzzles, but those who tried to possess history in the name of "protecting history." When the treasure is no longer gold, but the truth deliberately hidden by royal families, churches, colonists and wars, Weiyuan must make a choice: bring the lost thing back to the light, or let it continue to sleep in the shadow of the old world.
