The moon hung over Fengze Road, shining on everyone except his rental house; he was the shapeless shadow on the road illuminated by the light. -Throughout the images: the moon (the elusive happiness), the shadow (the forgotten self), and Fengze Road (the road from which one cannot go back and the present that cannot be walked out).
