Don't Speak the Name of the Uncanny

Someone once told me that the ghosts in this world live on what humans know about them. A video, a message, a memory: remember a ghost, and you know it exists. Then the ghost comes alive. Before Lao Zhou died, he told me, “Never let anyone know what your ghost is called.” In this eerie world, if I want to survive, I have to make myself invisible. But people with “no name” can hardly get by.
