Old Stories from the Village

They write about things in the countryside. Most of the protagonists are no longer alive - the old man begging, the child who died young, the girl who died young. When they were alive, they were the most inconspicuous people in the village. No one cared about what they ate, where they lived, or how they died. But they remember something. They all remember whoever served them a bowl of rice or who stood in front of their graves for a while. So they came back, not to scare people, but to return the favor. These stories do not deliberately create horror, but calmly tell those things that cannot be explained: the figure blocking the road on a rainy night, the tombstone that collapsed when he was in a coma due to high fever, and the sudden sound of footsteps at the entrance of the village in the evening.
