Surviving the Apocalypse: I Work the Front Desk at a Zombie Hotel

[A Black-Hearted Female Lead in the Apocalypse + Slow Burn + Male Lead] Sha Zhou was trapped on the seventh day of the apocalypse, dying and coming back to life, only to die again. Until this time, when she bludgeoned a zombie to death and found a crystal core in its head. [Apocalypse Hotel System activated successfully.] [Host identity: Game NPC.] Sha Zhou: “I’ve been through this loop so many times. Can’t I at least get to be the protagonist?” [No.] “…” The good news: she finally wouldn’t have to die anymore. The bad news: the world had ended, and she still had to go to work. And so, in Ashen City, where zombie hordes ran rampant, a hotel that looked completely out of place opened its doors. Zombies pressed right up against the entrance, while inside there was air conditioning, hot water, luxury suites, and an all-you-can-eat buffet. A stay cost ten crystal cores, and meals were extra. No exceptions, no haggling. No money? That was fine too. Sign a work contract and pay off your debt working for the boss. Later, players began awakening on a massive scale, and zombies mutated and evolved right along with them. The military, survivor factions, and groups of wandering players all set their sights on this one and only absolute safe zone. Some tried to seize supplies, some resold beds, and others assumed Sha Zhou was just a young woman handling reception, and tried to take over both her and the hotel. Only then did everyone realize that this NPC, whose level could not be found, could not only issue quests to players and set respawn points, but also mark them as wanted, post bounties, and permanently ban them from entering. Everyone knew that Ashen City was home to a crazy woman who couldn’t die and loved money…
