Zhizhi Yixia

The male lead, Jiang Yihan, has loved painting since childhood. He and Meng Xinran grew up together, spending years side by side with their feelings for each other unspoken. After the college entrance exams, Meng Xinran was diagnosed with a chronic illness that was difficult to treat. Knowing she would become a burden and unwilling to crush Jiang Yihan's dreams, she forced down her love and cruelly ended their relationship. Their sudden separation and her painful confession plunged Jiang Yihan into severe depression. For an entire year, painting was the only thing that helped him endure the darkness. He believed Meng Xinran had abandoned their promise for good, and resentment tangled with longing in his heart. On the high-speed train at the start of the next school year, Jiang Yihan met Qin Zhixia, a new student at his school. A neglected heiress from a wealthy family, Qin Zhixia had also struggled with depression as a teenager. She understood the oppression of loneliness and the brokenness hidden deep inside. Warm and lively, she reached out to the silent, gloomy Jiang Yihan and gradually soothed the wounds in his heart. They both loved painting and shared the same wavelength, becoming each other's salvation. After enrolling, Jiang Yihan made an unexpected discovery: Meng Xinran, now a singer famous across the internet, was the person who had abandoned him years ago. Seeing her celebrity status, he mistakenly believed she had long since cast aside her original passion for painting, and felt deeply disappointed. As the story progresses, the three of them keep crossing paths, and layers of past misunderstandings come to light. With Qin Zhixia by his side, Jiang Yihan slowly overcomes the knot in his heart. Later, Meng Xinran's illness rapidly worsens. Before she dies, she leaves behind a private art gallery filled with oil paintings she had created alone over the years. Every painting records a promise she made with Jiang Yihan when they were young. Along with the paintings is a letter revealing all the reasons she had so cruelly ended their relationship. In the end, Jiang Yihan finally lets go of the obsession he had carried for years.
