Defying a Boy's Fate

Most people with the Child Destiny fate need to pass only one or two of the five trials, but I have to face them all. Born under the Pure Yin Child Destiny, I must pass the trials of fate, marriage, illness, adversity, and toil. Time and again, I pull myself back from the abyss, turning each trial into a true record of how I was tempered. I don’t want to use them as plot hooks or embellish them for effect, nor do I want to exploit hardship to win sympathy or create suspense and chase traffic. I just want to tell readers, calmly and honestly, that changing your fate comes down to four words: “nurture your health, love yourself.”
