"Lingshan Mountain on the Road of Life" is an original novel based on the spiritual background of the classic "Journey to the West". The book has a total of four volumes, 36 chapters, and about 350,000 words. The work assumes that after the master and his disciples of the Tang Dynasty succeeded in studying the scriptures, they returned to the world according to the Tathagata's decree and stayed in the "Xiexin Tea House", an ancient temple hidden among the high-rise buildings in the modern city, to solve the doubts in the hearts of modern people who came to seek help. The visitors have different identities - white-collar workers, teachers, anchors, designers, stay-at-home mothers, entrepreneurs, lovelorn people, wronged people - they knock on the door with their own life dilemmas. Under the guidance of the four masters and apprentices, they move from obsession to relaxation, from tightness to softness. The book transforms the "nine-nine-nine-eighty-one difficulties" in "Journey to the West" into the eighty-one inner demon dilemmas faced by modern people - anxiety, anger, greed, obsession, arrogance, suspicion, fear. It uses the witty exchanges and daily actions between the four masters and apprentices and the visitors as narrative threads. It uses the five poisons of Buddhism "greed, anger, ignorance, pride, and doubt" as the key link and the five degrees of "precepts, concentration, wisdom, compassion, and humiliation" to integrate classical wisdom into contemporary life.
