You Didn't Vote for Tiga, but Tiga Will Still Save You

The world’s biggest tokusatsu website is holding the hottest Ultraman popularity poll ever. Like a bunch of middle-aged guys, Wang Lin picks his beloved Tiga, his one true favorite. But when the results are announced, Tiga’s name is nowhere on the list. Someone has maliciously pushed his vote count to rock bottom, and he hasn’t even made the top 100. Someone asks why Tiga didn’t make the list, only to be mocked and sneered at by netizens. “Tiga? As if he deserves a spot! He’s just an outdated old Ultraman!” “Quit trying to stay relevant, nostalgia freaks. Your Tiga can’t even compare to the newcomers!” “Zero is the one who’s truly invincible, okay?” But nobody knows that Wang Lin, who transmigrated here, really does have a Spark Lens. He just can’t transform into Tiga because there are no monsters around right now. Then one day, the sky splits open, and a hideous giant beast steps through the rift, crushing half a school underfoot. Screams and cries fill the air. “Where’s Ultraman? The monsters are here, so why hasn’t Ultraman shown up?” “Anyone... Please, someone come save us...” No matter how desperately people wail, none of the poll winners, the popular new Ultras, or the names boosted to the top of the rankings appears. The Spark Lens in Wang Lin’s hand grows faintly warm. He’s got a feel for it now. Everyone had personally cast their votes for someone else. Everyone thought Tiga was old-fashioned. But when this world truly needs a light... “Tiga!!!”
