My Online Date Pretends to Be Poor to Test Me? The Heiress Drops the Act

After three years of online dating, Qin Songyi could hardly wait for her boyfriend to return to the country, so she suggested they meet in person. They arranged to meet at an inexpensive café. Her boyfriend, Pei Yuchen, had said he was broke and so stingy that he’d wear the same clothes for two or three years rather than throw them away. The first thing Qin Songyi noticed when she met Pei Yuchen wasn’t the threadbare outfit covered in loose threads, but the face that turned heads wherever he went. “Hello, Mr. Pei. I’m your girlfriend, Qin Songyi.” “Hello, Miss Qin. We finally meet.” The second time they met was in the basement apartment Pei Yuchen rented. The twenty-square-meter studio had a single bed and a table. It was there that they decided to move in together and work toward a better future. At an auction, Qin Songyi attended with her best friend. From a distance, she spotted Pei Yuchen surrounded by a crowd. “Who’s that?” “That’s the young master of the Pei family. He’s in charge of the Pei Group now, and he has a bright future ahead of him.” After the auction, the two of them tacitly changed out of their luxurious evening gowns and suits, then went home to keep pretending they were poor. Pei Yuchen: “Honey, I’m out of money for food. Could you give me a little spending money?” Qin Songyi laughed coldly to herself, but put on a pitiful expression. “Honey, I can’t even afford skincare products. You said you’d give me a good life.” Pei Yuchen: “I’ll figure something out. Your skincare products are more important!” Qin Songyi: “You’re so good to me, honey. I’m so touched!” So you like pretending to be poor? Let’s see who can keep it up the longest.
