Old Flames in Full Bloom

[Rekindled love / self-delusion / bittersweet romance / healing, happy ending] [Cool, resilient fashion designer vs. calculating, devoted CEO] Lin Chuxia and He Yanci have completely different personalities, yet they fall into a secret, long-lasting romance at Jiang University. He dotes on her. He even rents out an entire stretch of riverbank in midsummer to confess his love to her amid a sky full of fireflies and shimmering water, sincere and passionate. But their love is too intense to last, and the relationship ultimately ends badly. They part the year they graduate: one goes abroad, the other leaves without saying goodbye. Five years later, they meet again. At He Yanci’s homecoming party, she disguises herself as a waitress and blends into the crowd, humbly asking for help. He, meanwhile, is surrounded by admirers, arrogant and untouchable. “You’re really letting her go?” a friend asks. He Yanci tips back his drink, his face frighteningly dark. “She doesn’t want you anymore. What, are you still going to throw yourself at her?” Later, on a narrow mountain road, their lives hang in the balance. He Yanci grips the steering wheel tightly. “Lin Chuxia, don’t be afraid. Hold on tight.” He repays her cruelty with his life. But why is He Yanci, after surviving the fall off the cliff, shamelessly clinging to her? And using his abs to tempt her? Lin Chuxia only wants to be a caregiver who repays his kindness. He Yanci curls his lips into a smile. “You tied such an ugly knot for your patient. I deserve some compensation.” “Since that’s the case, it wouldn’t be too much to ask for a kiss, would it?”
