Pearls Speak of My Love

A sweet, unassuming office drone and homebody × a gloomy ghost starved for love

Shang Mingzhu never imagined in her life that she would actually meet a ghost. Every night, she dreamed of a male ghost embracing her from behind, calling her A Zhu over and over in her ear. He begged her for mercy, said she had made him suffer terribly, and pleaded with her to save him.

It wasn't until Shang Mingzhu returned to the Republic of China era that she met that handsome male ghost in the flesh: Second Young Master Shen, confined to a wheelchair and coughing nonstop. Shang Mingzhu thought, So this really is my fault. Did he die of an illness and decide to pin it on me?

By day, Shang Mingzhu diligently played her part, afraid someone would realize she didn't belong in this era and she'd be accused of being possessed by a demon or ghost and drowned in a pond. But Second Young Master Shen kept picking on her.

Shang Mingzhu was like... Whoever wants to save this guy can do it. I want to go home.

At night, Second Young Master Shen, Shen Huaibi, cornered her against a wall. His fingers played with the frog closures on her qipao, his gaze full of allure, his voice soft and slow. “Now that you're here, stay with me and keep me company forever. Don't even think about running away in this lifetime.”

Loving you wasn't a coincidence. In all these ten thousand years, there has only ever been you.

The moment I met you, every rule changed. You are my most precious one.

Both are each other's first and only, happy ending.
