Many people may think that this is just a fictional tragic coming-of-age novel. In fact, this story is entirely based on the real lives of friends around me. The upheaval, betrayal, loneliness, and desperate situation in the book are not sadistic plots that I deliberately concocted. On the contrary - reality is always more biting, cruel, and incomprehensible than words. I don't expect this story to be read by thousands or tens of thousands. I just hope that everyone who encounters the text can get a glimpse of life, gain insights, and cleanse their mind. If only one person can understand the deep meaning and heal their own difficulties, then the six months of work will have full meaning. Therefore, in the past six months, I have sorted out, polished, written, and settled bit by bit, blending a heavy and broken true past into the background of the era of 2004. In this story, I did not deliberately exaggerate the suffering, nor did I deliberately create sadness. I just tried to restore the growth and self-healing of a low-class girl as gently, restrainedly and objectively as possible. Because real life often does not require dramatic processing, it is enough to make people feel silent and compassionate after reading it. In such a hot summer, if I can finish reading this story and feel a chill in my heart, I think it means that I have understood the weight of reality. There may be some people who are looking forward to a happy ending with all the hardships and joys, and longing for the protagonist to break away from the past and gain satisfaction, but I don't want to sugarcoat this regret. Because, in real life, there is no happy ending. Once the scars of fate are carved into the years, it is difficult to completely erase them. Compared with deliberately creating an illusion of perfection, being loyal to reality and respecting the past is the greatest tenderness towards suffering, experience, and all those who pursue light at the bottom.
