Moon over Qilian Mountain

The whole novel is based on the life of Liu Suxin, the platoon leader of the Women's Independent Regiment of the Western Route Army. It takes the crossing of Hexi, the tragic defeat at Liyuan Pass, the escape from being captured, the seventeen years of living in a mountain village, the liberation and return to the army, and the half-life practice of medicine before ending up in Qilian.
