Just as the Stars Begin to Fall

“A sport isn't complete only when you're standing on the field.” At the coldest low point in her life, the snow began to fall. You came through the storm, a star descending into my world. You quietly healed everything in her that was broken, then quietly disappeared into the spring breeze. Later, it took her half a year to understand: The snow will stop, and the stars will leave. Only becoming whole within yourself can save you for a lifetime. The moment the stars descended was also the moment I became my own mountains and seas.
