Hold Off on Ascending, the Sect Gate Has Collapsed

Seven days before the Ascension Ceremony, the mountain gate of Qiheng Sect collapsed first.

Zhang Dingchuan, the steward in charge of mountain affairs, thought it was just a routine repair, until he discovered that the mountain gate, the reception platform, the protective formation, and even the entire main peak were subtly shifting out of place every six breaths.

A stretch of road was missing in the east, while a section of mountainside had appeared out of nowhere in the southwest. The formation had not failed, but the mountain refused to stay where it was.

With his engineering experience from a past life, Zhang Dingchuan could not see the workings of fate, but he could see the forces, points of conflict, and boundaries on the verge of collapse.

Formation master Wen Zhaolan listened to the formations, boundary surveyor Liang Shen set the markers, terrain expert Gu Xingshui searched for a slope, and the people of the Medicine Valley traded a century-old legacy for a chance to survive.

Their task was not to save the world.

They simply had to prop up this crumbling mountain again before the seventh day arrived.
