Hundred Nights Paper Crane

"Cloud Convenience Store" is an urban healing feature-length unit drama novel. It uses a single-family convenience store in an old city shrouded in cold rain all year round as a spiritual haven. It revolves around the "path to adulthood" of the wooden doll store manager Yun Bian, and connects one hundred late-night visitor stories based on real social issues around the world. The protagonist Yun Bian is on duty at this 24-hour convenience store when he wakes up. He has no past memory, no body temperature expression, and no supernatural abilities. He always acts as a bystander, catching the emotions of every visitor with silent companionship and every bit of kindness. The whole book uses his "humanization" process as a hidden thread: from being initially mute and aphasic, with stiff movements, and only able to convey goodwill by passing water and cleaning, to gradually developing empathy, being able to complete complete conversations, and finally possessing a complete human emotional system. At the end of each story, he would write down his feelings about human nature in notes and fold them into paper cranes. When hundreds of paper cranes hang on the wall, that is the moment when he truly becomes a "human". The works are divided into ten major themes, including workplace survival, family ties, embers of war, and self-reconciliation. They cover all ages and diverse classes, and face serious issues such as life and death, trauma, and regret. The book abandons chicken-soup preaching and forced perfection, and uses restrained writing to present the plight, struggle and self-rescue of ordinary people, conveying the core of "emotions can be seen, trauma can be reconciled, and ordinary people have power". It is like a late-night emotional asylum, bringing readers resonance and the warmth of moving forward.
