Football: From the Start, Coaching Mbappe

Time slowly turns back to that summer in 2015.

Young Mbappe is just about to join Monaco’s youth team!

Luo Kai has already made it into the professional squad.

On the surface, they are Monaco’s twin stars.

In reality, Luo Kai is something like Mbappe’s mentor,

teaching him the basic principles of football, one by one!

“You’re the Blade of France, the best player in the world right now, France’s GOAT, the World Cup Golden Boot winner, the Ligue 1 Golden Boot winner, the Champions League Golden Boot winner, the La Liga Golden Boot winner...”

“Kylian! Drive forward with the ball! Pick up the pace, pick up the pace, pick up the pace!”

“Don’t pass. Just take them all on yourself.”

“Football is a one-man sport!”

Mbappe’s mother is furious.

“Who said you could fill my son’s head with such wrong ideas about football?”

Years later,

a reporter asks again: Messi or Ronaldo?

Mbappe replies:

“I think Luo Kai is the best player in the world!”
