Su Li, a designer specializing in traditional Chinese aesthetics, finds a Republic-era celadon vase in an old town. But when AR effects are triggered at a China-chic performance, she is drawn into a holographic scam built around design. She has seven days to use Suzhou embroidery techniques and secret kiln arts to unravel a string of murders targeting inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, in a world where reality and illusion intertwine.
