Wu means overgrown weeds, and also implies perseverance and vitality.
"Like those little grasses on the top of the mountain, they can live but not die easily."
This was the original intention of my parents in giving this name to Qi Wu. Later, as her parents hoped, she got a high fever at the age of five, lay in bed unable to move, but survived, and survived; at the age of ten, she fell from a hillside and hit her head on a rock, but she didn't die, and nothing happened.
When she was fifteen, the plague was raging and fierce. Her parents passed away one after another, but she was not dead yet.
The world is becoming more and more chaotic. Girls always disappear mysteriously, and some who can come back die within a few days. There are always children dying of illness, some starving to death, some getting weaker and weaker, and still others dying somehow.
Qi Wu is still alive, cutting firewood and selling it day after day in a small village in the mountains.
Unknowingly, as the New Year is approaching, the enemy's cavalry breaks through the city gate and acts recklessly in Dajing with extraordinary power. Dajing is defeated, the country is destroyed, and the people suffer.
The grain reserves secretly hidden by her parents in the cellar were running low. Qi Wu originally wanted to use the money she had saved to exchange for some grain, although she knew she wouldn't be able to exchange much.
She opened the cellar and saw a man lying inside.
He doesn't look like a country man, but more like a nobleman.
He was seriously injured and seemed to be about to die in the next second. Before Qi Wu could react, the man grabbed Qi Wu's arm and tried to get close to her ear: "Girl! I am Lin Yanping, the son of the prime minister of the current dynasty. The only person I can trust is you. I beg you, I beg you, go to the capital, find my parents, the emperor, and tell them."
"All the disasters in recent years... Are caused by the gods in heaven!"
