Reborn as a Luckless Soul, I Absorb Good Fortune in Another World and Become a Saint

Features: Japanese-style otherworld, gacha, terrible luck, one heroine and no harem, progression and character development

Huang Wu had never been lucky in his life.

He had hit hard pity on every banner without even catching a glimpse of the featured character, and he had accepted that.

But getting killed by an outdoor AC unit falling off a wall while he was out buying pork ribs? That was a bit much.

When he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated.

He was bound to something called the Palladium Self-Rescue System, which came with a round, fluffy white monster companion.

The good news: he had gained the constitution “Calamity: Fortune Devourer,” which let him absorb misfortune and turn it into luck. The bad news: this world was full of misfortune. And he was starting out in the negative.

Was there a way to survive? Yes.

Kill calamity beasts, crush the calamity crystals inside them, and swallow the energy within to raise his fortune value.

The problem was... the more calamity beasts he killed, the stronger they seemed to get. And he couldn't even touch the dense “uncleansed” calamity energy.
