She Dances of a Golden Age on Ice

A classical dancer who once dazzled the palace halls and commanded the admiration of every guest transmigrated into Su Qingyuan, the provincial team’s most overlooked figure-skating alternate. Plagued by old injuries, lacking in technique, and consistently ranked last, she endured cold stares and exclusion from her teammates. No one believed she had a future in figure skating. Everyone was convinced that without difficult jumps and with such weak fundamentals, she was destined to stay at the bottom forever, serving only as a supporting player for the team. But no one knew that inside this ordinary body lived a dancer whose classical grace had been honed over a thousand years. The first time she stepped onto the ice, she brought the flowing movements and refined elegance of classical dance into her skating. She did not chase punishing difficulty or risky jumps. Instead, she made softness her strength and moved audiences with her grace, carving out a path in classical-style figure skating all her own on an ice rink dominated by fierce competition. From a lonely alternate who always ranked last and had no one to skate with, to dazzling everyone at team trials and breaking out of the alternate ranks; from being dogged by rumors and targeted at every turn, to taking the city-level stage and gliding across the ice in a blue-green skirt. With her extraordinary artistry, she earned the highest score of the event, astonishing her rivals and the judges alike. The road ahead held storms and rain, currents of jealousy, technical weaknesses, and a niche style few understood. But Su Qingyuan remained as steady as ice, improving step by step. She cared for her old injuries, refined her footwork, tackled jumps from scratch, and brought classical grace together with competitive skating. Bit by bit, she made up for her weaknesses and shaped a style of her own. Ice was her stage, and grace her soul. While countless skaters pursued victory through ever-greater difficulty, she took to the ice in a flowing skirt and danced. With a performance steeped in classical beauty, she carved out her own glorious age on the frigid rink.
