The Voluptuous Beauty Visits Her Relatives, and the Rugged Officer Breaks His Vows

[Plump, soft beauty vs. fierce, abstinent soldier] Just after she transmigrates, Wen Yu is schemed against by her father and stepmother, who plan to give her to a nearly fifty-year-old man on his third marriage in exchange for their own gain. She has only two options: get married or seek refuge with her godmother, who lives far away on an island. Marriage is out of the question. While no one is looking, Wen Yu packs her things and boards a train south. Because of her voluptuous figure, Wen Yu is in danger throughout the journey. Someone even tries to grope her. She reaches the island without further incident, only to be told she can’t stay for long. With nowhere else to turn, Wen Yu sets her sights on Shen Jinye, the man everyone in the family compound fears. Everyone knows Shen Jinye’s fearsome reputation. He’s tall and powerfully built, with a cold, intimidating presence. He fights bravely and acts decisively, and is notorious for his ferocity. A single dark look from him is enough to scare the children in the compound into silence. He has never made an exception or shown mercy to anyone. To stay on the island, Wen Yu has no choice but to swallow her pride and cozy up to him. Everyone mocks her for overestimating herself. They’re sure that no matter how sweet and delicate the beauty is, she’ll never thaw this block of ice. But no one knows this is the first time in Shen Jinye’s life that he has fallen for someone and made an exception.
