I Met the Merman Prince by the Sea

Synopsis of I Met a Merman Prince by the Sea Xia Yu, a fisherman's daughter who makes her living fishing out at sea, rescues Yuan Heng while checking the rocky shore. He is a deep-sea merman prince who has washed up near shore, badly wounded. Tired of the scheming among the deep-sea royals, Yuan Heng is moved by the simple warmth of the human world and decides to give up his noble status as a prince and remain on land. Together, the two seek out a lost ancient technique and devote themselves to refining a secret medicine. Yuan Heng sheds his merman tail and takes on a human form, then settles down with Xia Yu in a renovated cottage by the sea. As they spend their days together, affection blossoms. With seashells from the shore as his betrothal gifts, he holds a seaside wedding banquet, blessed by all their neighbors. Their married life is filled with the simple warmth of everyday meals and changing seasons. Before long, Xia Yu shares the happy news that she is pregnant. She takes good care of herself as she awaits the birth, and safely delivers their daughter, Yuan Xixia. From then on, the family of three leaves the strife of the deep sea behind. They make their home by the fishing village shore, catching fish and tending flowers, staying by one another's side and peacefully passing the years.
