I Just Want to Lie Flat at School

I transmigrated into a sweet romance novel I read in middle school and became an invisible background character beside the leads.

Good news: I got the best seat in the house. Fang He, the heroine, sits right in front of me, and Cheng Xun, the hero, sits diagonally ahead. I get to watch them sneak longing looks, flirt back and forth, and blush every day. A VIP seat for the show, and it doesn't cost a thing.

Bad news: I have no lines. In the original story, Ji Chu is a silent background character. After she fails the college entrance exam, the author never mentions her again.

On the outside, I'm meek and easy to push around, nodding whenever anyone tells me what to do. On the inside, I'm furiously typing away: “Hero, your confession is worse than my self-introduction!” “Heroine, stop holding back and just make a move! I'm dying here!”

All I want is to quietly watch their love story to the end, then take the college entrance exam, go home, and become a nobody with no name.

But then, while I'm lying at home that night, Dad sends me a photo. On the yellowed note, it says: “Tuantuan, Mommy is waiting for you to grow up.”

...My mom? This book never said anything was going on with my family.
