Young Cabinet Secretary, Get It Together!

Secretary Li Yan transmigrates into the body of a jinshi in the forty-first year of the Jiajing reign. The moment he opens his eyes, he finds himself in the thick of the commotion. The Little Cabinet Elder, Yan Shifan, has been relieved of responsibility for the thirteen provinces of the two capitals and sentenced to exile in Leizhou. Xu Jie’s faction seems certain to win, and the censorial officials are sharpening their knives. Everyone wants to climb over the Yan family to soar to success. Li Yan, however, thinks otherwise: As a transmigrator, of course he knows how to read the room. First step: take office in Fenyi County! Get on the Little Cabinet Elder’s good side. While he’s down, invest in his future. After all, once the Little Cabinet Elder makes his comeback, his influence will be beyond imagination. Make connections, raise money, build a career, and then usher in a golden age of overseas exploration. And so… An unconventional figure suddenly appears in court, leaving Xu Jie frantic with worry. Facing the strange looks of the assembled officials, Li Yan remains perfectly calm. “I haven’t done anything wrong! That’s what the history books say!” “Don’t just stand there. Of course we’re backing the Little Cabinet Elder and going all out!” The Great Ming of that age was filled with brilliant stars.
