Tokyo: From Assistant to the Freest Manga Artist

After transmigrating to a parallel world, Hanyu Cheng not only became a handsome blond, but also the heir to a wealthy family with artistic roots.

A diehard fan of hot-blooded shonen manga for twenty years, Hanyu Cheng dreamed of becoming a leading manga creator for Weekly Shonen Jump.

After old-school hits like Naruto and Bleach came to an end, edgy manga took over, and traditional hot-blooded shonen manga fell into decline.

During this period, Hanyu Cheng unexpectedly discovered that his classmate Sumire Tsukimiya, who sat behind him, was a manga artist with a series currently running.

“Reviving the glory of hot-blooded shonen manga is our generation's duty!”

So Hanyu Cheng went out of his way to become her apprentice, starting out as an assistant.

A traditionalist, Hanyu Cheng believed that Weekly Shonen Jump's leading manga should be hot-blooded shonen.

What would Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chainsaw Man be like if they were published as traditional hot-blooded shonen manga...

Just thinking about it made him giddy!

Starting with Demon Slayer, he would carry on the legacy of hot-blooded shonen manga and become Weekly Shonen Jump's new leading creator.
