Five Dynasties: My Father Is Yang Xingmi

In the second year of the Tianfu era (902 AD), the Tang dynasty teeters on the brink of collapse. Pressured by Zhu Wen, Emperor Zhaozong of Tang, Li Ye, issues an imperial edict summoning the regional governors to defend the throne. The edict catapults Yang Xingmi, military governor of Huainan, to the rank of Prince of Wu, and throws the realm into even greater turmoil. Zhu Wen, eager to overturn the world; Li Keyong, repeatedly defeated yet still consumed with worry for the realm; Yelü Abaoji, quietly nurturing great ambitions and biding his time; and Yang Xingmi, anxious over domestic affairs and hoping his son will make something of himself... A host of heroes each have their own designs. One takes the stage after another, but whether the realm flourishes or falls, the common people suffer. And suffering just as much as they are is Yang Wo, who has just transmigrated: Good news: I’m the eldest son of the Prince of Wu! Bad news: My father is Yang Xingmi, not Zhu Yuanzhang! Xu Wen, Zhang Hao, Zhu Renshou, Tian Jun... Thinking of the “loyal ministers” serving under his father, Yang Wo starts crying before he can even speak: “Is there any way I can go back?”
