Chang'an Woman

"Women of Chang'an" takes the historical background of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi's early accession to the throne and unfolds a narrative around the harem, power struggle and personal destiny. The story begins with the folk girl Qiu Xiaozhen being forced to enter the palace. It tells the story of how she grew up step by step from a simple and ignorant country girl in the palace, and was inadvertently involved in the dual conspiracy between the court and the harem. Xiaozhen caught the attention of Emperor Li Zhi because of her excellent embroidery skills, and a subtle and complex emotional bond developed between the two. However, the harem is not only about romance, but also hidden poisoning, framing, murder and political games.
