After My Childhood Friend Rejected Me, a New Challenger Appeared

[Cool, aloof top student heroine VS cheerful, sunny hero] [Second male lead wins her over + new arrival beats childhood friend + high school + lighthearted comedy + ensemble cast] Shi Suxing was rejected by her childhood friend, Cheng Yu. For the sake of her pride, she decided they would never speak again. She threw herself into the humanities, convinced the remaining two years of high school would pass uneventfully. Then, on the first day of her second year, she accidentally walked in on someone confessing their feelings. “Sorry, I already like someone.” In front of the honor roll, a tall, slender boy lightly tapped her portrait and said, “Shi Xiuxing.” Shi Suxing: “…” First, thanks. And second, third, who are you calling illiterate? * For Chen Rangqing’s birthday, Shi Suxing gave him a whole jar of paper stars. After seeing for the third time a video online about someone finding a note hidden in a gift from their crush years later, with the caption “I won, but it expired,” Chen Rangqing stared at the jar and came up with a daring theory. After spending the whole night unfolding the stars and finding nothing, Chen Rangqing said, “How could this happen?!” Shi Suxing, who had practically spelled it out for him, found out and went: “…” A few things to know: The hero is genuinely healthy in both mind and body. He’s a bit of a chatterbox and very outgoing, holds no grudges, and is easy to please. He’s not your typical arrogant, domineering, possessive male lead. The story is grounded in everyday high school life.
