The Sweet, Simple-Minded Maid Has the Aloof Minister Wrapped Around Her Finger

Yao Er Ya is reborn on the day before her death, at the very moment Madam Jiang, the young master's wife, pays a large sum to find a woman to serve her husband, Xie Jing. Memories of her brutal death in her previous life are still vivid. Yao Er Ya wants to change her fate, but danger lies ahead at every turn. How can it be easy?

She is lowborn, her life as worthless as a blade of grass. She is illiterate, with neither talent nor beauty. How can a country girl win the protection of a powerful minister?

She schemes, endures, lies low, and strikes back, fighting for survival in a desperate situation and taking things one step at a time. She must tear apart the snare fate has laid for her and find a way to live that belongs to her alone. It is an almost impossible task.

But she does it!

Xie Jing, the eldest son of the Xie family, rose to prominence at a young age. He is as pure and bright as a breeze after rain, serving as tutor to the crown prince and holding the highest office.

Someone complains to him, “The Yao woman has ulterior motives. She plays dumb, acts insolently, and can't stand to lose even a little. How is she simple-minded? My lord, don't let her fool you!”

Xie Jing: “You can't stand her acting so arrogantly? I taught her. You don't have to like it, but you'll have to get used to it.”

Both leads are virgins. The male lead and Madam Jiang never consummate their marriage; this is explained later.
