After Narita

On the last day of March, I arrived in Japan alone. When I dragged my luggage out of Narita Airport, I thought I was finally going to start the new life I had longed for countless times - a new country, a new language, and the person I agreed to live with. But later I realized that some promises will be honored by time, while some promises are just for people to learn to say goodbye. From Guangdong to Tokyo, from familiarity to unfamiliarity, from full of expectations to facing reality alone. This is a story about studying abroad, growing up and losing. It is also a story about a person learning to live again in a foreign country.
