Imprisoning the Heavens in the Sea of Souls

A thousand years ago, a cataclysmic war erupted on the Soulmark Continent between soul beasts and powerful humans. The fighting was brutal, and the conflict became known as the “Saint Soul Calamity.” Its scale and bloodshed made it the greatest tribulation in all of creation.

Soul beasts were spirits of primordial soul power nurtured by heaven and earth, carrying the fundamental laws of nature. The supreme experts of the Saint Soul Realm, meanwhile, represented the pinnacle of cultivation among humanity and the various races. Their struggle for the “Saint Soul Spring” and the “Soul Origin Spirit Veins” became the root of their conflict.

The “Saint Soul Spring” was a rare source of pure, ultimate soul power capable of nurturing countless soulmarks. The “Soul Origin Spirit Veins” were endless channels of soul energy deep beneath the continent, containing power that could shake the heavens. All powerful cultivators relied on them as the foundation for advancing their ranks.

The Saint Soul Calamity was not merely a struggle over resources. It was the ultimate battle between life and origin, soul and desire.
