Tongzhiyin

This is a legend of the Republic of China about sound, time and character. Time is sealed in wood and raw lacquer. Three generations of the Shen family have been playing qin. It takes three years for a qin to dry, for the wood to dry, for the paint to bite, and for someone who can understand it. Shen Qinghe, a woman who grew up in Qinfang, her hand was supposed to hold an embroidery needle, but instead she developed calluses for holding a plane. Gu Huaijin, an engineering student who returned from Tokyo, broke into this world of listening to silence with foreign ink all over his body and a heart that had nowhere to rest. He found his lost skeleton in the process of playing the piano. All encounters in this world are reunions after a long absence. Just like the piano that had been waiting for twenty-six years, just like they finally understood each other's heartbeats in their best years.
