The Sweet Little Darling Joins the Army, and the Chaste Officer Falls for Her

Su Qingli hated Fu Jinyan more than anyone. When Su Qingli first met Fu Jinyan at thirteen, he rejected her friendly overtures. He not only ground the candy she treasured into the dirt, but also accused her of being scheming and manipulative at such a young age. If she could help it, Su Qingli never wanted to see him again. But when it rains, it pours. At twenty-three, Su Qingli's mother, wanting to help her evade an obsessive suitor, ignored her protests and shoved her onto a train bound for the military district. Before she left, her mother even reminded her, “Once you get to the capital, don't listen to your stepfather. Keep your head down, and, best of all, keep that man firmly in your grasp!” What? Just looking at him gives me nightmares! Su Qingli made up her mind: once she got to the capital, she would stay as far away from Fu Jinyan as possible! Little did she know that Fu Jinyan had already overheard her conversation with her mother. The more she tried to get away, the more convinced he became that she was playing hard to get. “What will it take for you to leave me alone?” One day, Su Qingli was backed into a corner by him and kissed until she was breathless. But Fu Jinyan held her tightly in his arms. “You were the one who started this. You'll never get away from me.”
