Run! You're Kicking Me? I'll Fire Up the Six-Ha!

When Wang Yu woke up, he learned that he had been kicked off the hit variety show Run, Brothers, which he had built from the ground up. “Wang Yu, stop fighting it and sign!” Faced with the double betrayal of his girlfriend Liu Ruyan and his close friend Zhao Qiang, Wang Yu remained calm and composed. The production team was even more arrogant, declaring, “This IP is the real star. You could put a dog in the director’s chair and it would still be a hit!” The team went straight to Weibo and turned the tables, spreading rumors that Wang Yu had poached key crew members and planned to go solo! His ex-girlfriend published a long post accusing him of cheating! His close friend even came forward to accuse him of workplace bullying! Facing a storm of online hatred, Wang Yu said nothing. Instead, he struck back by bringing along Deng Paopao, Chen Chichi, and Lu Pao, the three indispensable stars, and announcing the launch of a new variety show, Hahahahahaha! The show’s official Weibo account was instantly flooded by paid trolls and haters. But when the show finally aired, public opinion did a complete 180! “Holy crap! Now this is a variety show! What kind of trash was Run, Brothers putting out?” “Help! I almost laughed my food right out of my mouth. What kind of irrepressible little devil is Deng Paopao?” “Are they insane? The entire crew and cast are all total characters!” And that was just the beginning: The phenomenon-level brain-busting variety show Super Extreme Challenge! The animated blockbuster Ne Zha, which raked in over ten billion at the box office! As every top-tier IP he brought to the table became a sensation, Run, Brothers completely collapsed, its ratings plunging and its producers losing their shirts. Liu Ruyan and a group of investors knelt before him, begging desperately. “Brother Yu, we were really wrong! Please come back!” Wang Yu sneered, his eyes full of contempt. “Wrong? You’re not sorry. You’re just jealous!”
