After reading Chapter 11, let me talk a little bit about myself, for reference only. Personally, I think the biggest problem with this book is that its foundation is unstable: The protagonist believes that "you can go home if you go to a sacred place", but there is only this conclusion from beginning to end, and there is no explanation of the logic behind it. What is the obsession that supports him to go home regardless of everything? Is it family and friends from home, or bonds from the past? This is not reflected in the text at all. The protagonist rushes forward like this, his actions seem hollow and inexplicable. He is willing to abandon the identity and family ties he had after time travel, and risk his life. He also keeps saying that he has been preparing for this for two years, but the relevant preparations are all blank: What is the sacred place? Where did the relevant rumors come from? What is the connection between this secret land and "Returning Through Time"? All without explanation. The so-called "two years of preparation" is just a slogan. There is no on-site research, route planning, ship and personnel arrangements, and no alternative plans. The protagonist is more like a program that executes instructions according to a script, rather than a flesh-and-blood person, and the character's look and feel is very rigid.
