Jinling Remnant Dream

A "Dream of Red Mansions" written in the Republic of China with secret annotations connects the love of ancestors, mother's regret and Lin Yan's redemption. Lin Yan, a graduate student in Red Studies, avoided reading Red Mansions texts due to the death of his mother. However, while sorting out his belongings, he was attracted by the cinnabar annotations left by his grandfather and his mother's research manuscripts. Behind the metaphors of "Jiangzhu" and "Hengwu" in the annotation is a love missed due to the pressure of the times and family; and the mother's obsession is to prove that the regret of Red Mansion is not irresolvable. In order to fulfill his mother's last wish, Lin Yan followed the annotated clues and went to Suzhou to find the hidden diary and the truth, but encountered obstacles from utilitarian researchers. In the process of decoding the annotations and restoring the stories of his ancestors, Lin Yan not only broke the stereotype of the "tragic fate" of the Red Mansion, but also achieved self-reconciliation, turning the care and understanding between the two generations into the warmest force in the inheritance of Red Studies.
