Journey to the West: You’re Guarding the Gate, So Why Are You Stopping the Six Sages and Hongjun?

Li Xuan transmigrates into the Primordial World of Journey to the West and becomes a Heavenly Soldier guarding the South Heaven Gate, where he awakens the Gatekeeper System. Anyone who tries to force their way through the gate can earn him supreme rewards, as long as he successfully stops them! Stop a Golden Immortal, and he gains the origin of the Great Dao; Hold back a Great Encompassment, and he obtains a fruit of the Law; Suppress a Sage, and he is granted primordial chaos cultivation! Let Western Buddhism bear down on the gate, or the founders of the Three Teachings come in person, so long as I, Li Xuan, am here, no one gets through! Outside the South Heaven Gate, countless powerful figures gather from afar, too wary to force their way in. The Jade Emperor rushes to the gate in alarm, hoping to intervene and persuade Li Xuan to let them pass. Facing the supreme ruler of the Three Realms, Li Xuan wears Heaven-Suppressing Battle Armor and grips a Sage-Slaying Halberd. His gaze is impassive: “Your Majesty, who rules the South Heaven Gate, you or I, Li Xuan?” “Without my permission, none of the myriad paths of the heavens or the beings of the Three Realms may set foot inside the gate!”
