"White Wall" tells the story of the well-known writer Lin Zhaoshui when he was preparing to write about the life of his mother, Shen Lanyin, when an anonymous email uncovered thirty-four years of past events. When she was young, she gave birth to a daughter with the married man Gu Huaizhang, and then let go of the child herself amidst rumors, deceptions and pressure from reality. She thought it was just a wound buried by time, but she didn't expect that the truth had been hidden throughout the silent life of the Gu family, the Tao family, and her mother. As the investigation deepened, Lin Zhaoshui once again faced his father's violence, his mother's forbearance, Gu Huaizhang's decent lies, Tao Jingyi's revenge and calculations, and finally met his adopted daughter Tao Xiaoman.
