The Tang Dynasty in a Sandbox: From the Start, Feeding Little Sizi

On his birthday, Li Mo received a mysterious parcel with no return address. When he opened it, he found a lifelike miniature diorama. A plaque hung above a palace with red walls and yellow tiles, bearing three conspicuous characters: “Lizheng Hall.” He was wondering if it was some kind of high-tech model when a soft, sweet voice began to cry from inside the diorama. “It’s so hot. I’m thirsty~” Under the eaves of Lizheng Hall, a dainty little girl with rosy cheeks was crouching on the ground, wiping away tears. Her tiny face was flushed from the heat. Li Mo’s heart melted. He brought over a fan and aimed it at the diorama, then cut a piece of chilled watermelon and gently placed it inside. In the eighth year of the Zhenguan era, little Xi Zi was on the verge of tears when a cool breeze suddenly swept away the heat. She looked up and saw a bright red, sweet fruit land right in front of her. “A fairy! Is that you? Thank you for the fruit!” The little girl hugged the watermelon and gobbled it up, juice all over her face. She looked up at the sky and smiled, her eyes curving into crescents. Watching the adorable little girl smile in the diorama, Li Mo thought that from now on, his days would probably be filled with this sweet little darling. How many more adorable little requests would she make of him, expecting him to provide?
