Eyes That See Through the Heart

The dead don't lie, but the living do.

Chen Mo is a personal effects organizer who specializes in handling the affairs of the deceased.

To everyone else, he's an inconsequential nobody at the bottom of society, spending every day handling the belongings of the dead for meager pay and barely any recognition. No one knows that while sorting through personal effects, he unexpectedly awakened the "Spectral Eye"

As long as he touches an item left behind, he can see the deceased person's final memories.

A bloodstained watch reveals the truth behind a tycoon's fatal fall; a worn-out rag doll leads to clues about a missing child; a yellowed photograph clears the name of a wrongly accused suspect in a cold case from twenty years ago...

From then on, Chen Mo leads a double life.

By day, he's a taciturn personal effects organizer, mocked and looked down on by everyone. By night, he's the hidden detective who cracks bizarre cases and leaves murderers nowhere to hide.

"You say you're innocent? Let's see what his belongings have to say."

While everyone else is still scratching their heads over the complexity of a case, Chen Mo has already identified the real culprit with his Spectral Eye. But he never makes a fuss. He simply waits quietly for the moment to prove them wrong

"It's not this person. He's the murderer."

The crowd erupts. With the evidence conclusive, the true culprit is brought to justice.

From an unknown nobody to a "special consultant" personally appointed by the police station; from a despised low-level worker to a mysterious big shot everyone fears. Chen Mo uses his Spectral Eye to uncover one truth after another, and with every case, he delves deeper into the city's darkest secrets.

However, as the Spectral Eye continues to evolve, he gradually realizes

These eyes can see more than just the memories of the dead.

The eerie beings lurking in the city's hidden corners seem to be watching him in secret, too...
