Echo Cable

The broken roof of the abandoned cable building in the old city is the secret stage of guitarist Lin Ye - his notes can follow the coiled old cables and create hidden echoes in the urban context. Until bassist A Xian appeared with the strange ability of "hearing the memory of the city", the two captured the unfinished "Rainline" by the female singer ten years ago from the cable noise. Following the clues of the broken string guitar, they discovered the secret of the city and the melody: Old cables wrap up the fragmented past of the old city. The shoe repairman's hammer, the roar of the subway, and the cash register of the convenience store are all unheard harmonies. When "Rainline", which was overwhelmed by commerce, followed the copper wire and poured into Internet celebrity shopping malls, and when residents carried power strips to form an open-air stage, the whole city finally became a musical instrument - the cash register played the rhythm, the sprinkler truck played the melody, and the sound of the office building elevator acted as the harmony. This is not a story about a band becoming famous, but a record of a group of people using melody to patch up the memory of the city: it turns out that there are unfinished songs hidden in every ordinary corner.
