To the Embers of Our Youth

That was the passionate beginning of youth and its silent end. The midsummer wind carried the rustle of sycamore leaves and blew open the door of Class One (Three) of Senior High School. Teenagers in school uniforms were once the brightest light in each other's youth. They shared all their thoughts, carved a promise on the desk, and ran side by side in the sunset, thinking that this way they could complete their entire youth. But time is the most ruthless, the enthusiasm of youth will eventually cool down, and the figures side by side will eventually become separated. Later, those daily routines of laughter and anger, and those heart-wrenching companionships became the past that no one mentioned. We were once the brightest light in each other's youth, but later we could only look at each other from afar in memories. We have shared all our thoughts, but we have not been able to share our entire youth. After the grand fireworks of youth bloom enthusiastically, there are only a few embers left, burning silently over the years.
