Moonset in the Rainy Alley

Synopsis

In Jiangcheng, there's an antique shop called Forget Worries Studio, a place that takes in the lingering obsessions of the living world. Its owner, Shen Qingci, is a night watcher who records the stories of the dead in exchange for letting them linger a little longer in this world. He has lived for over a thousand years, his heart as still as water, until one rainy night, a female ghost appeared, identical to Su Wan, the lover he lost a thousand years ago, changing everything.

The ghost carries a pocket watch stopped at midnight and is fixated on waiting for someone who will never return. Shen Qingci knows it's only an obsession, yet, as if possessed, he gets involved, even burning his own memories to keep her there. In exchange, his memories of Su Wan are fading, bit by bit.

As more strange spirits come knocking, Shen Qingci struggles between his duties as a night watcher and his own selfish desires. He thinks he's saving the dead, not knowing that he is the one trapped by obsession. When his last memory fades, how will he face a thousand years of loneliness?
